18:1 STEEL CNC MACHINED GEAR SET

40CrMo steel with Electroless nickel plating instead of the usual black oxide coating on solink/jvan/shs gears. A bit better corrosion resistance while losing some oil retention so add a bit more grease 🤷♀️. These gears are a bit more tapered to reduce noise relative to some others on the market.

Recommended for higher speed setups with a brushless motor. 18:1 is a stock ratio but if you're trying to upgrade your gun to a brushless motor, you need this gear set if your stock gears are weak. Replicas like lower end specnas, cyma non-platinums, double eagle, even vfc or lct will sometimes have sintered gears and a brushless will wear the bevel gear down over time especially with stronger springs.
